GAACS Consignee application

General Information

As the originator of a PoG, the Consignee in GAACS is supported by it's own application module.
As with all GAACS application modules, the options available are determined by whether Consignee is part of a GAACS Supply Chain, or whether only connected to a Customs Broker.
If connected in a GAACS Supply Chain you can:
- Connect with Supplier(s).
- Connect with Agent(s) who will be handling your PoGs.
- Connect with your Broker.
if not connected in a Supply Chain, you can only connect with your Broker.

Benefits

The primary benefit whether connected in a Supply Chain or not is the availability of information on the cost of importing products. In a Supply Chain you benefit most by seeing the status of incoming PoGs at both the Supplier level and at Agents handling the goods.

Functions supported for consignee

Purchasing

When connected in a Supply Chain you can create purchase orders and make them available to connected Suppliers.

Purchasing

When connected in a Supply Chain you can reconcile purchase orders when invoiced and shipped by connected Suppliers.

Purchasing

If not connected in a Supply Chain, you can inform your connected Broker about PoG's you are purchasing.

Handling

Purchasing

If connected in a Supply Chain, you can inform your connected Agents about PoG's they will be handling.
